At CANEAT, we believe food is more than just fuel, it’s a tool for healing, connection, and well-being. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition or simply looking to eat mindfully, we’re here to guide you on your journey.
Our mission is simple: to show you how food can support your health and help manage chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders. We aim to empower you with holistic, accessible recipes and insights that make living with health challenges easier and more delicious.
How CANEAT Began
CANEAT is rooted in my personal journey with food and eating disorders. For years, I struggled with my relationship to food, caught in cycles of restriction, guilt, and disordered eating, all influenced by a culture that often values thinness over everything else. I spent countless years feeling confused and disconnected, unsure of how to nourish myself in a way that truly felt right.
Throughout this journey, I’ve come to realize that healing isn’t a destination, it’s a continuous process. While I’m still learning and growing, I’m committed to sharing the lessons I’ve learned to help others find their own way.
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my sister, who was the first person to believe in me and love me through it all. She was and still my guiding light, and her strength continues to inspire me every day.
I’m also incredibly grateful to my boyfriend, who not only believed in the mission behind CANEAT, but also created this website from the ground up. I’m thankful every day for his love and encouragement.
Now I want to empower you, not with clichés or vague theories, but with accessible recipes and practical resources to embrace food freedom, heal through food, and find joy with what you eat. Your health journey is unique and worth embracing, and it’s about self-compassion, not perfection.
I’m learning every day, and I invite you to join me as we explore food freedom and healing together.
With love,
Tracy R.
